Homecoming
Homecoming is a great time for Dalton State alumni and friends to reconnect to the campus and reunite with old friends. It is also a great time for current students to celebrate what makes Dalton State truly unique and outstanding.

HOCO Kickoff Carnival and Sweatshirt Distribution
Kickoff Homecoming by visiting the Campus Carnival in between classes. Free crew neck sweatshirts will be distributed FOR FREE to any currently enrolled student with their Roadrunner ID in hand - while supplies last. Highlighted attractions include a giant slide, carnival games & tickets, a prize station, and carnival-inspired treats!

The homecoming court is a part of the annual homecoming festivities at Dalton State. The purpose of the court is to recognize members of the student body who make invaluable contributions to the Dalton State community and represent the core ideals of Dalton State as a student leader. Throughout the week of homecoming, these students serve as ambassadors of school spirit and pride as a Dalton State Roadrunner. Voting for the king, queen, prince, and princess will take place during the week of homecoming, and the winners will be recognized during half-time at the homecoming basketball game.
Prince and Princess:
- Nominees must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
- Nominees can be any student regardless of class standing, with the exception of those graduating by December 2021 with a bachelor’s degree.
- Nominees must be currently seeking either an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree
- Nominees must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA
King and Queen:
- Nominees must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
- Nominees must be graduating by December 2021 with a bachelor’s degree
- Nominees must have a minimum of a 2.75 cumulative GPA
Submit a Nomination
Individuals that are nominated will have the opportunity to accept their nomination and will be asked to complete an application. Once applications have been scored, a select group of individuals will be interviewed by a committee of faculty and staff. From those interviewed, the homecoming court will be slated and voted on by the entire student body. Each portion of the process will be weighted to determine the winners who will be crowned during halftime at the homecoming game.
All members of the Homecoming Court will be required to attend the following programs during Homecoming:

Campus Tailgate
Service Project
Trivia Night at The Mill
Homecoming Bash*
Please wear your Homecoming sash to all required events.
*All Court members will receive two (2) free tickets to the Homecoming Bash, a Homecoming Court sash, and a Homecoming t-shirt.

Voting for Homecoming Court will open in January 2022. To cast your vote, follow the instructions below:
- Login to Roadrunner Portal.
- Click on "Banner"
- Click "Answer a Survey"
NOMINATIONS FOR HOMECOMING COURT WILL OPEN IN FALL SEMESTER EACH YEAR. ANYONE (STUDENT, FACULTY, STAFF, ALUMNI, COMMUNITY MEMBER, ETC.) CAN SUBMIT A NOMINATION.
Homecoming is a special time of year where current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends can all come together to celebrate their Roadrunner Pride.
