Homecoming

Homecoming is a great time for Dalton State alumni and friends to reconnect to the campus and reunite with old friends. It is also a great time for current students to celebrate what makes Dalton State truly unique and outstanding.

We hope you will choose to participate in this year's Homecoming Events. Please note the schedule is still subject to change. Additional details will be added as they become available. If you have any questions, please contact the Dean of Students Office at 706-272-4428.

Movie Night: The Greatest Showman

Bring your family and friends to watch The Greatest Showman! Admission is FREE. Popcorn and drinks will be provided while supplies last.

Trivia at The Mill

Bring your family and friends for a night of trivia at The Mill. The first 100 students who check-in will receive a ticket for FREE mini-tacos from Sol de Mayo. First, second, and third-place teams will receive a prize pack.

Basketball Game and Coronation

Cheer on your Dalton State Roadrunners and watch the half-time Coronation Ceremony where the 2022 Homecoming Royalty will be crowned. Students attend home games for FREE with a valid Roadrunner ID Card. Community members and guests can purchase tickets online or at the door.

The homecoming court is a part of the annual homecoming festivities at Dalton State. The purpose of the court is to recognize members of the student body who make invaluable contributions to the Dalton State community and represent the core ideals of Dalton State as a student leader. Throughout the week of homecoming, these students serve as ambassadors of school spirit and pride as a Dalton State Roadrunner. Voting for the king, queen, prince, and princess will take place during the week of homecoming, and the winners will be recognized during half-time at the homecoming basketball game.

All members of the Homecoming Court will be required to attend the following programs during Homecoming:  

Campus Carnival
Hoco Cocoa
Casino Night
Rage N' Roar Bonfire
Campus Tailgate
Service Project
Trivia Night at The Mill
Homecoming Bash*

Please wear your Homecoming sash to all required events.

*All Court members will receive two (2) free tickets to the Homecoming Bash, a Homecoming Court sash, and a Homecoming t-shirt. 

 

Voting

Voting for Homecoming Court will open in January 2022. To cast your vote, follow the instructions below: 

  1. Login to Roadrunner Portal.
  2. Click on "Banner"
  3. Click "Answer a Survey"

NOMINATIONS FOR HOMECOMING COURT WILL OPEN IN FALL SEMESTER EACH YEAR.  ANYONE (STUDENT, FACULTY, STAFF, ALUMNI, COMMUNITY MEMBER, ETC.) CAN SUBMIT A NOMINATION. 

Homecoming is a special time of year where current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends can all come together to celebrate their Roadrunner Pride. In an effort to improve Homecoming initiatives we are always accepting feedback and suggestions. Your voice and opinion are important to us. Please email homecoming@daltonstate.edu to let us know your hopes and dreams for future celebrations.
