Exam Description

Independent Testing/Distance Learning is when you are taking exams through another college or university. The Testing Center is glad to proctor exams for Independent Study and AAB students.

Be sure to be prepared before you come to take an exam.

Who is this exam for?

Anyone is welcome to use Dalton State as a proctor site for their exams.

What items can I bring to the test?

Always bring valid ID with you. You will also need to bring a receipt for our Business Office showing that you have paid the proctor fee. You may also bring anything that your instructor has told you that can be used on the exam. Remember, if the instructor did not inform us of items you can use, we will either have to contact the school or instructor or you will not be allowed to use them.

Are there security requirements I need to consider?

There are no security measures for these exams.

Where do I pay the fees?

Dalton State charges a $35 proctor fee for this exam which can be paid when you schedule your appointment through our online registration or you can pay in the Business office with a check or cash, prior to coming to the Testing Center. 

When is this test offered?

Tests will be proctored during scheduled Testing Center hours (which can vary).

Arrangements must be made by the examinee to have the exam sent to Dalton State College. Please keep in mind that most institutions require a 10-day advance notice to ensure delivery of the exam before your test date.
