Why did you choose Dalton State? I was attracted to the size and affordability of the college. I needed a college that wasn’t big but a place to build relationships.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? To me, it means being focused and striving to achieve success. It means accepting that I can be true to myself and understand that the Roadrunner Nation is home, welcoming and diverse.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to attend law school.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Honestly, I loved almost all my professors so it is hard to pick one but one of my professors that I would say was my favorite would be Professor Kim Correll. She has a welcoming and kind spirit and is always willing to communicate anytime she was available.  

What activities are you involved in on campus? I am vice-president of a registered student organization and I am currently a student worker for Campus Services.

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? I had the opportunity of being the president of the African Students Association and being able to graduate with my bachelor’s degree this spring.

What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? I love attending the Campus Activities Board events and hanging with friends at the fire pit in Mashburn Hall.

Where is your favorite study spot? The Student Pope Center.

Where is your favorite hangout? Honestly, I don’t have a specific favorite hangout. I mostly hang out with my friends in any random place we all decide.

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? I would say the Residential Life events held my freshman year. They helped me find the friends I have now.

What is the last book you read? My law school prep text.

What’s on your iPad? My iPad is full of unfinished notes and Tiktok drafts.

Favorite comfort food? Plantain chips

If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Freedom” by Beyoncé

Favorite line from a movie? “There’s only one thing to do: Learn all we can”- Hidden Figures.

What is your guilty pleasure? Homemade vanilla ice cream

What do you feel most proud of? A supportive circle.

If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be? My Bible, my social security card, my passport, a picture of my mother and my phone.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? Pay off my student loans, buy a land and build a house in Nigeria and invest in a business.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I would want to learn how to play the piano. I do not know how to play any musical instruments. That’s a good start.

What cheers you up? Hanging out with my friends and dancing to Afrobeats!

What is your favorite book? Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche

Who is your hero? My hero is someone that supports me, and that is my mother. She plays an active role in my life because she did not just render her motherly love, but she constantly pushes me to be my best self.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Octavia Spencer

What is your favorite childhood memory? Playing with my cousins in our village house every Christmas.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? I would like to meet Nnamdi Azikiwe. He was the first President of Nigeria and the only Igbo ruler since then.

What is your favorite app? Right now, Tiktok!  

Where is your favorite place to eat? Any Mexican restaurant that offers authentic Mexican food!

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I have always wanted to be a lawyer. I used to role play being in a court and talking to a pretend Judge.

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To Run Boldly means to focus on your dreams and work hard to achieve it irrespective of the difficulties that might arise. To Run Boldly means to stand up with your shoulders high.
