Dalton State to Host Fall Activities

10/20/17

Join Dalton State College this month for spooky fun for the whole family with the Fall Family Festival and Literary Spooktacular.

The Fall Family Festival will be Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 5 – 8 p.m. on the bell tower quad. The event is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costume.

“I enjoy seeing the community coming together at Dalton State,” said Shabina Panjwani, organizer of the fall festival and coordinator for programming and diversity initiatives at the College. “This year we will have inflatables, games, costume contest, prizes, and different activities for everyone.”

Also happening later this month is The Literary Spooktacular which will be Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Roberts Library media lab. This event is also free and open to the public.

“I really like seeing so many people come together to have fun on Halloween and to celebrate good literature,” said Dr. Jenny Crisp, associate professor of English at Dalton State College. “Among the people who read short passages from their favorite spooky literature will be students, faculty, staff, administrators, and people from the Dalton community.”
