Want the scoop on Dalton State before you schedule an on-campus visit? We’ve got you covered! Come along with two student leaders who will give you a unique glimpse of the beautiful Dalton State campus and help you become more familiar with all that Dalton State has to offer.
See Peeples Hall where you can care for endangered turtles, conduct research in a lab or just grab a caffeinated beverage. You’ll find free fitness classes, yoga, personal trainers and more at Bandy Gymnasium along with intramural and clubs sports like women’s and men’s lacrosse, ultimate Frisbee and bass fishing. Our Roberts Library has librarians and academic advisors who are dedicated to serving you and presentation labs. And, we have therapy dogs and hot chocolate to help you through finals.
Check out our quad for outdoor events and festivals. The Pope Student Center has our free tutoring center, game room, Career and Professional Development, student clubs, the Roadrunner Café (with all-you-can-eat buffet dinners) and much more. Free services for students include food at the Birdfeeder and clothing for a presentation or job interview from the Career Closet. You can develop your elevator pitch and practice interviewing at Gignilliat Hall, home of the Wright School of Business. Liberal Arts programs are in Lorberbaum Hall, including our partnership with the Georgia Film Academy where students can learn at state-of-the-art facilities in metro Atlanta.
Thinking about being a nurse, respiratory therapist or another career in health professions? You can practice on high-tech, state-of-the-art mannequins in our simulation lab and learn in a safe environment before working in a hospital. The Ken White Student Health Center supports the physical and emotional well-being of all students. For the full Dalton State experience, Mashburn Hall is your home away from home with studying and collaboration areas, kitchens, game rooms and places to hang out with your friends.
