Dalton State Receives Gift from Wacker Chemicals

Wacker Chemicals made a gift in support of scholarships at Dalton State College, campus officials announced. 

The gift will fund two scholarships in the College’s School of Science, Technology and Mathematics in the 2019-2020 academic year, one for a student majoring in chemistry and another for a student majoring in biology.

“We are proud of our partnership with Wacker Chemicals through their philanthropic support of Dalton State and their involvement in our STEM programs,” said David Elrod, director of the Dalton State Foundation. “This gift is really an investment in our students and the future workforce of our region.” 

“The company’s interest in the College’s growth and the success of our STEM programs will be of benefit to our students for years to come,” he said. “We appreciate Wacker’s friendship as we continue to build Dalton State into a first-choice destination institution.”
