The Nest is home to the Birdfeeder supplemental food pantry and the Career Closet. Dalton State College is focused on offering resources to our students to help them succeed in their education and career by assisting to alleviate the burden of unmet needs. The Nest is a donation-based resource for students. Without generous donors like you, we could not provide these services to our students. What You Can Donate to Support Our Community

Monetary Donations

To make a monetary donation, click ”GIVE NOW” and designate your gift to the “Birdfeeder.” Want to set up a recurring gift? Set up automated payments monthly or quarterly. Financial contributions to the Birdfeeder are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for details.

Physical goods:

The following physical goods are currently accepted in the food pantry:

  • Non-perishable food items;
  • Personal hygiene products;
  • Frozen Meals;
  • Fresh produce for the refrigerator.

These items may be dropped off at the Nest any time Monday through Thursday between 9 am and 8 pm or donors may schedule an alternative drop-off or pick-up time by emailing  [email protected]  or calling 706-272-4428.

Dalton State College is focused on offering resources to our students to help them succeed in their education and career. One of those resources is our Career Closet. Ran on donations, this resource offers students, who do not own or cannot otherwise afford to purchase, PROFESSIONAL WEAR clothing at no cost them. We are always looking for donations of professional wear to fill the closet. If you or anyone in your organizations, clubs, church, family, etc. is willing to donate gently used or brand new professional wear to the Dalton State Career Closet, we will gladly take it.  Any items not kept are donated to Providence Ministries in Dalton, GA.
