Why did you choose Dalton State? I chose Dalton State because it was my last resort to become something. If I hadn’t come here, I would have never become the person I am now.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being a part of Roadrunner Nation means opportunity to me. This place provides all the resources possible for their students’ success.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to take up a research internship and travel the world for a year. After the year is over, I will go into medical school.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Chenoweth is my favorite professor because he takes the time for his students to understand his material. He understands his courses are hard and he tries every way possible for us to succeed in his class. He is able to come down to his student’s level and try to make it to their understandings.

What activities are you involved in on campus? I’m in the Peer Educator Leadership Team, a subdivision of Tutoring and SI

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? My biggest achievement at Dalton State would be that I’m able to take initiative in my school. I used to be really quiet and never tried to participate into anything. I broke those boundaries that I set for myself and strived for more. Now I’m in the Peer Educator Leadership Team, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Where is your favorite study spot? My favorite study spot is the cafeteria.

Favorite comfort food? Broccoli cheddar soup

If you had a theme song, what would it be? BTS: Dream Glow

What do you feel most proud of? I feel proud of being the first to graduate college in my family.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? I would buy my parents a new house, pay for medical school and open a charity that is specific to help young adults go to college who suffer from poverty around the world.

What cheers you up? I love to listen to BTS. I can feel their bond through their music. They make me feel connected to the world again.

Who is your hero? My mom is my hero. She has shown me how to be strong and to never fall so low. Falling is OK, but as long as I get right back up.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? I would meet Mother Teresa; I think I could learn a lot from her. She has shown kindness to many and helped many. I want to be like her one day.

What is your favorite app? My favorite app is Free Fire

Where is your favorite place to eat? My favorite place is TaiChi Bubble Tea; they sell great ramen and bobba. My recommendation is the shoyu ramen.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be an FBI agent. During my high school year, I was taking courses to become an agent but soon figured out that life wasn’t for me. I knew my place was somewhere else and that to be a doctor.

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To Run Boldly means to defy all odds. It means to break rules and boundaries set to you by society. When different obstacles come my way and no matter how hard they are I always find a way to get over them. I’m confident that I’ll be successful in my endeavors, and I couldn’t have done it without the resources provided by Dalton State. Dalton State helps me Run Boldly.
