Dalton State Adds More Courses to Fall Semester

It’s not too late to sign up for fall classes at Dalton State.

Whether you weren’t able to begin classes in August or want to add a few more hours this semester, you can still register for C-session classes, which begin Oct. 9 and end Dec. 1. Four classes have been added to the fall schedule; Introduction to Psychology, U.S. History, Music Appreciation, and Fundamentals of Speech.

The psychology course introduces students to concepts in psychology and understanding of yourself and others. Topics covered include personality, conflict and adjustment, tests and measurements, biological bases of behavior, and group phenomena.

The history course covers the early days of the United States from colonial America through Civil War and Reconstruction.

Music appreciation introduces students to music from the Middle Ages to the present. No musical background is needed for this course, which is designed to foster the appreciation and understanding of music in its cultural and historical context.

The speech class covers the basic principles of oral communication and emphasizes planning, researching, organizing, and presenting types of speech used in business, education, and political activities.
