Dalton State Receives Gift from Wacker Chemicals

Wacker Chemicals has joined the growing roster of scholarship donors at Dalton State. 

Wacker’s first gift in support of scholarships will sustain two scholarships in the College’s School of Science, Technology and Mathematics in the 2018-2019 academic year, one for a student majoring in chemistry and another for a student majoring in biology.

“We are grateful to have earned this public expression of support from our friends at Wacker Chemicals,” said David Elrod, director of the Dalton State Foundation. The Foundation administers privately funded scholarships for the College. 

“The company’s interest in the College’s growth and in the success of our STM programs will be of benefit to our students for years to come,” he said. “We appreciate Wacker’s partnership with us as we continue to build Dalton State into a first-choice destination institution.”
