Jazz Quintet to Perform

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Faculty Jazz Quintet will return to perform in Dalton at the Creative Arts Guild Saturday evening at 7:30.

Still a relatively young group, it combines longtime Chattanooga area jazz veterans Clint Schmitt (saxophone), David Walters (piano), and Stephen Brannen (guitar) with seasoned classical players Monte Coulter (drums) and Eric Hanson (bass).  Their repertoire ranges from jazz and swing selections to contemporary jazz compositions.

Following their successful appearance in Dalton last year, the quintet returns in a concert made possible by joint sponsorship between Dalton State College and the Creative Arts Guild.  The general public invited with tickets priced $10 for adults and $8 for children and seniors;  children under 5 and anyone with a Dalton State ID will be admitted free.

This concert was made possible by a grant from the Dalton State Foundation.
