Remote Learning to Continue Through Summer

04/02/20

Dalton State, in addition to the other University System of Georgia institutions, will continue to deliver instruction remotely through the summer semester, with limited exceptions.

USG institutions are tentatively planning to return to normal on-campus operations for the fall semester if guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Georgia Department of Public Health allow it.

All USG institutions have been asked to continue their current telework and flexible work strategies for faculty and staff. USG institutions remain open, with only minimal staff physically on-site to ensure continuity of critical services.

Dalton State continues to provide students with technology assistance, remote access to the library and other services including tutoring.

Additionally, the admissions team and financial aid staff are available to help current students and future students applying to Dalton State. The college has waived the ACT and SAT exam requirements for summer and fall 2020 applications, as well as the application fee through June 1.

Dalton State and the USG prioritize the safety of students, faculty and staff and will continue to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Georgia while graduating students even in these challenging times.
