The homecoming court is a part of the annual homecoming festivities at Dalton State. The purpose of the court is to recognize members of the student body who make invaluable contributions to the Dalton State community and represent the core ideals of Dalton State as a student leader. Throughout the week of homecoming, these students serve as ambassadors of school spirit and pride as a Dalton State Roadrunner. Voting for the king, queen, prince, and princess will take place during the week of homecoming, and the winners will be recognized during half-time at the homecoming basketball game.

Prince and Princess:

  1. Nominees must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
  2. Nominees can be any student regardless of class standing, with the exception of those graduating by December 2021 with a bachelor’s degree.
  3. Nominees must be currently seeking either an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree
  4. Nominees must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA

Once applications have been scored, a select group of individuals will be interviewed by a committee of faculty and staff. From those interviewed, the homecoming court will be slated and voted on by the entire student body. Each portion of the process will be weighted to determine the winners who will be crowned during halftime at the homecoming game.
