Dalton State College will comply with all federal laws and regulations as well as those mandated by the University System of Georgia governing the use of humans in research. All of the information requested in the Application Package for Research with Human Subjects Participation meets our regulatory obligation.
All research activities involving human subjects and associated with Dalton State College must be reviewed by the Dalton State College Human Subjects Institutional Review Board (IRB) regardless of the category or location of the research. The IRB meets on an as-needed basis to review research protocols.
Application materials should be submitted online here. The Chair of the IRB will distribute all materials if needed to the members of the review board. The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs shall serve as the administrative Human Subjects IRB Research Office and will maintain all records concerning the application and approval of the research project.
