As part of your experience at Dalton State College, all incoming and transfer students are required to complete certain online training courses through Vector Solutions LMS. These training courses are based on federal requirements and institutional best practices and are designed to help create a safe, respectful, and supportive campus environment.
The courses are listed below:
AlcoholEdu for College helps students make informed decisions about alcohol and substance use through realistic student stories, interactive learning, and practical prevention strategies. The course covers topics such as supporting peers in recovery, understanding the short- and long-term effects of alcohol, and recognizing the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of reducing use or choosing not to drink. Students will gain tools to make positive choices and contribute to a campus culture of awareness, intervention, and support.
RespectEdu for College helps students build healthy, informed relationships and better understand consent, communication, and personal boundaries. The course covers topics such as defining consent, avoiding assumptions, managing rejection, being an active bystander, and knowing how to seek support and campus resources. Students will gain practical tools to navigate relationships respectfully and contribute to a safer, more supportive campus community.
Hazing Awareness & Prevention for Students helps students understand what hazing is, how it can escalate, and why it is harmful to individuals and campus communities. The course teaches students how to recognize hazing behaviors, understand the risks involved, and respond appropriately when they see or experience concerning conduct. Students will gain tools to help prevent hazing and support a safer, more respectful campus environment.
