Dalton State College has selected Sweta Sneha as the next dean for the C. Lamar and Ann Wright School of Business (WSOB), effective January 1. Sneha, who will also serve as Sesquicentennial Endowed Chair and professor of information systems at Dalton State, comes from Kennesaw State University (KSU), where she is a professor of information systems and security in the Michael J. Coles College of Business and the founding executive director of the master’s program in healthcare management and informatics.
“Dr. Sneha brings more than 25 years of experience in management consulting, technology, and higher education administration and a strong record of innovation that aligns with Dalton State’s mission,” Dalton State President John Fuchko said. “We are excited to see how her leadership will expand the college’s impact and enhance opportunities for our students and northwest Georgia.”
Sneha was selected following a national search and will succeed Jamie Connors, professor of accounting and associate dean, who has served as interim dean since Marilyn Helms’ retirement in December 2024.
“The Wright School of Business is well positioned to be the hub of innovation, driving workforce and economic development in northwest Georgia,” Sneha said. “Drawing on more than twenty years of leadership experience, I am committed to amplifying the role of Wright School of Business in transforming the regional ecosystem-driving student success, forging strategic industry alliances, and positioning the school as a trusted partner impacting the vitality and growth of the Northwest Georgia and beyond.”
At KSU, Sneha has led cross-sector collaborations to identify gaps in healthcare delivery and consumer engagement, resulting in scalable solutions that improve patient outcomes. She also spearheaded the creation of three credential programs tailored to workforce needs: the AACSB-accredited Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Informatics, the CAHIIM-accredited program in digital health leadership, and an executive education program for artificial intelligence in healthcare.
A recipient of numerous industry and academic honors, including Women in Technology Woman of the Year, Technology Association of Georgia Technology Leader, and TITAN 100. Sneha has served on the Atlanta Regional Commission Roundtable for Emerging Technology in Life Sciences, AgTech, and Workforce Development. She also holds board positions with the Technology Association of Georgia – Digital Healthcare, Tech Alpharetta, TITAN100, and American Medical Informatics Association Industry Academic Partnerships.
Sneha earned a Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park.
