Inclement weather – Campus closure

Posted on

Due to extreme weather conditions caused by Hurricane Helene, Dalton State College will close both its main campus and mountain campus, beginning Thursday, Sept. 26, at 12:30 p.m. through the close of business day Friday. We understand that some areas in our region may be impacted by inclement weather conditions before and/or after our designated closure window, and the safety of our students, faculty and staff is our top priority. As always, everyone is encouraged to use their best judgement regarding safe travel conditions in their vicinity.

On-campus classes beginning after 12:15 p.m. on Thursday and all classes on Friday will follow their inclement weather policy.

All on-campus events taking place Thursday, Sept. 26, and Friday, Sept. 27, are cancelled. At this time, Athletic events planned for Friday will take place. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and provide updates accordingly.
