Roadrunner Scholars Program

The Roadrunner Scholars summer scholarship program allows students to live and study on Dalton State’s campus at no cost before the start of the fall semester. The Roadrunner Scholars benefits package can be up to $5,000 throughout the seven-week program, June 4-July 21.

The seven-week Roadrunner Scholars Program will include a focused academic curriculum to assist incoming first-year students in being prepared for their core curriculum. In addition to developing core curriculum skills, the Roadrunner Scholars Program will allow you to identify and develop college survival skills, build close relationships with students, faculty, and staff in the Dalton State community, and learn what is expected from a Dalton State student.

The program will focus on English and writing skill development (ENGL 1101 & 0999) and mathematic skill development (MATH 1101 & 0998). The program will offer credit for Dalton State’s first-year seminar class, PRSP 1010, which introduces students to academic learning, inquiry, and engagement at the college level. The benefits of attending are estimated at $5,000 per participant, fully covered by the Roadrunner Scholars scholarship package.
