Hall selected as Vice President for Student Enrollment and Success

Dr. Jami Hall has been selected as the vice president for student enrollment and success at Dalton State College, effective July 1. She will succeed Dr. Jodi Johnson, who is retiring at the end of June following 25 years of service to the college.

“We conducted an extensive national search to identify a strategic leader to support Dalton State’s mission to be a catalyst for opportunity and success for our student and our region,” Dalton State President John Fuchko said. “Dr. Hall has been a valued member of the Dalton State community since 2005, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to our students and their success, and I am confident that her experience and dedication will continue to propel our efforts.”

Dr. Hall currently serves as assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Dalton State, where she oversees student support services, including engagement and belonging, counseling, career and professional development, student development, and health and wellness.

“My leadership is grounded in the belief that every student’s journey matters, and that higher education should be a place where dreams are nurtured, barriers are removed, and success is made possible for all,” Hall said. “I am honored to be selected for this new role and to continue to serve this remarkable institution and its extraordinary students.”

Among Hall’s achievements at Dalton State is the development of the college’s CARE Team, which was established to assess and respond to concerns of student safety and well-being. She has also been involved in strategic enrollment management initiatives to strengthen student success and retention.

Hall earned dual bachelor’s degrees in management and marketing from Georgia College and State University, and master’s, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees in higher education administration from Georgia Southern University.

Her previous roles at Dalton State have included serving as director of student life and coordinator of the college’s Academic and Career Enhancement Center. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Hall has taught courses in organizational leadership, student development and grant writing.

Dalton State College, a member of the University System of Georgia, serves more than 5,000 students in northwest Georgia and beyond through campuses in Dalton and Ellijay and online programs. The college offers 24 bachelor’s degree programs and an array of associate degree programs.
