The state of Georgia is a world leader in financial technology (FinTech) with approximately 70 percent of global financial transactions handled by corporations based in Georgia. The University System of Georgia (USG) has recognized the FinTech business sector as a high demand career area served by the High Demand Career Initiative. To provide Dalton State Students access to FinTech expertise, the Wright School of Business has collaborated with the USG Georgia FinTech Academy and developed a FinTech minor that combines eCampus online FinTech courses with those taught at Dalton State.
