We can’t wait for you to begin your Dalton State journey!

Your next step after being accepted is the register for Orientation! Orientation is required for all new students. On this day, you will be registered for classes for your first semester. You will also have the chance to hear from important departments and resources on campus, ranging from academic support, student life, health and wellness, and much more!

Add an Overnight Stay into your Orientation Experience!

Camp Mashburn is an optional overnight experience that gives incoming students a chance to stay in our brand new Residence Hall the night before orientation! Camp Mashburn allows for the opportunity to experience living on campus and meeting new and current Roadrunners. You'll have a fun filled night of activities, which include a fireside chat, s'mores, games, and more! To complete your overnight experience, you'll have a hot breakfast waiting for you in the Roadrunner Cafe on the morning of your orientation!

4 SESSIONS AVAILABLE: June 7, 14, 21, 28

Experience more with Extended Orientation!

Rage Days is an overnight retreat for incoming freshman! This provides an opportunity to meet other new students, get to know faculty and staff members, and have an exciting weekend together before the semester begins! This retreat is held off campus at the Ocoee Retreat Center.

The $100 fee covers the cost of cabin accommodations, transportation, food, and other materials.
